DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BOD AND COD
There are two types of Pollutants in effluent which are as follows-
1. Organic Effluent
2. In-organic Effluent
We treats effluent in effluent treatment plants and gives oxygen to keep it in aerobic condition. We need to treat the effluent to reduce their BOD and COD value.
B.O.D –
It is known as biological oxygen demand. BOD is the amount of dissolved oxygen consumed by micro-organisms to break down the organic pollutants present in effluent or water.
C.O.D-
It is known as chemical oxygen demand. It is the amount of oxygen needed to oxidize both type of pollutants organic and inorganic present in effluent or water without involvement of micro-organisms.
The COD value is always higher the BOD valve .
बीओडी और सीओडी के बीच अंतर
उत्प्रवाह में दो प्रकार के प्रदूषक होते हैं जो इस प्रकार हैं-
1. जैविक बहिःस्राव
2. अजैविक बहिःस्राव
हम अपशिष्ट जल को उपचार संयंत्रों में उपचारित करते हैं और इसे एरोबिक स्थिति में रखने के लिए ऑक्सीजन देते हैं। हमें उनके बीओडी और सीओडी मूल्य को कम करने के लिए अपशिष्टों का उपचार करने की आवश्यकता है।
बी.ओ.डी –
इसे जैविक ऑक्सीजन मांग के रूप में जाना जाता है। बीओडी अपशिष्ट या पानी में मौजूद कार्बनिक प्रदूषकों को तोड़ने के लिए सूक्ष्म जीवों द्वारा उपभोग की जाने वाली घुलनशील ऑक्सीजन की मात्रा है।
सी.ओ.डी-
इसे रासायनिक ऑक्सीजन मांग के रूप में जाना जाता है। यह सूक्ष्म जीवों की भागीदारी के बिना अपशिष्ट या पानी में मौजूद कार्बनिक और अकार्बनिक दोनों प्रकार के प्रदूषकों को ऑक्सीकरण करने के लिए आवश्यक ऑक्सीजन की मात्रा है।
सी.ओ.डी की मूल्य हमेशा बी.ओ.डी के मूल्य से ऊंचा होता है।
