DAMAGE CONTROL
Few years back me and my colleague Mr. Gupta used to live in the company’s colony. I used to live on the ground floor and Mr. Gupta lived on the first floor. I was fond of gardening and had planted many flower plants in pots and used to take care of the plants every day. I thought that a lot of flower pots should also be placed near the office and I placed and decorated them with a little painting. That day Mr. Gupta made comments that have you taken contract of plantation of everywhere? This comment hurt me too much. After a month, when I was taking care of my flower pots, Mr. Gupta came to me and said, will you give me some plants of flower to me? I replied to take from somewhere else. My daughter was hearing these conversations. When I came inside the house, she told this to her mother. My wife said that this type of conversation is not good. I realized my mistake and thought for damage control. Immediately I took ten type of flower plants and went to his house and handed over.

कुछ साल पहले मैं और मेरे सहकर्मी मिस्टर गुप्ता कंपनी की कॉलोनी में रहते थे। मैं ग्राउंड फ्लोर पर रहता था और मिस्टर गुप्ता फर्स्ट फ्लोर पर रहते थे. मुझे बागवानी का शौक था और मैंने गमलों में बहुत सारे फूलों के पौधे लगा रखे थे और हर दिन पौधों की देखभाल करता था। मैंने सोचा कि ऑफिस के पास ढेर सारे फूलों के गमले भी रखे जाने चाहिए और मैंने उन्हें रख दिया और थोड़ी सी पेंटिंग से सजा दिया। उस दिन श्री गुप्ता ने टिप्पणी की कि क्या तुमने हर जगह के वृक्षारोपण का ठेका ले रखा है? इस टिप्पणी से मुझे बहुत दुख हुआ. एक महीने बाद जब मैं अपने गमलों की देखभाल कर रहा था तो मिस्टर गुप्ता मेरे पास आए और बोले, क्या तुम मुझे फूलों के कुछ पौधे दोगे? मैंने जवाब दिया कि कहीं और से ले लेना. ये बातचीत मेरी बेटी सुन रही थी. जब मैं घर के अंदर आया तो उसने ये बात अपनी मां को बताई. मेरी पत्नी ने कहा कि इस तरह की बातचीत अच्छी नहीं है. मुझे अपनी गलती का एहसास हुआ और मैंने डैमेज कंट्रोल के बारे में सोचा।’ मैं तुरंत दस तरह के फूलों के पौधे लेकर उनके घर गया और दे दियाI
